Second Layer: Worker Perspective

The Worker perspective

Now it is time to look at the situation from the workers perspective. We can be short: he or she can use the same model as the leader. Knowing at what competencelevel he himself functions, and knowing at what competencelevel his manager is functioning regarding a given task or problem, one can choose the effective influencing style.

This scheme demonstrates that the earlier described interactions between leader and co-worker are completely reciprocal. When worker is expert and leader is in fact at studentlevel in a certain task leader does well to recognize this reality and to let hem or her being instructed by worker. And so forth.
